Adidas Teams Up with TriVision for Relaunch of its Iconic F50 Football Boots with Trinity Rodman

TriVision is thrilled to play a role in the launch of Adidas’s iconic F50 soccer cleats campaign by providing multiple production studios at our state-of-the-art facility located right outside of Washington, DC (Northern Virginia). Featuring American soccer star Trinity Rodman, forward for the Washington Spirit and member of the National Women’s Soccer League, the F50 football boots launched globally in June 2024. Also starring in the same campaign? None other than the sensational Lionel Messi!
This collaboration enabled us to blend TriVision’s expertise in video and studio production with the excitement of working alongside a global brand like Adidas and a rising star in the soccer world, resulting in a campaign that highlights both the product’s technical excellence and the sport’s vibrant energy.

The Campaign
Two decades after its original launch and almost ten years after its “retirement,” the iconic F50 makes its return. Considered one of the most iconic Adidas shoes, F50 football boots are engineered using the pinnacle of lightweight technology and materials, and are designed to give you the edge in every game you play.
The campaign which was launched in June 2024 stars world-class athletes including Lionel Messi, Luis Díaz, Rafael Leão, and Trinity Rodman.

“Free the fast with the adidas F50. Created to unlock the full potential of your acceleration, movement, and speed. The thin Fibertouch upper on these Elite soccer cleats boasts a Sprintweb 3D texture for dribbling at speed. Underneath, a springy Sprintframe 360 outsole helps you accelerate on firm ground. Designed specifically for female athletes, the adidas PRIMEKNIT mid-cut collar and thick sockliner add extra support and comfort. This product features at least 20% recycled materials. By reusing materials that have already been created, we help to reduce waste and our reliance on finite resources and reduce the footprint of the products we make.”
Why TriVision?
When Adidas approached us, they were looking for a partner with a multi-functional production studio facility, capable of handling both still photography and motion capture. Additionally, the studio needed to be spacious enough to accommodate their massive production team of nearly 100 people and various production sets and equipment.
Furthermore, our background in working with high-profile clients, such as Bravo and the OWN Network, made TriVision Studios the ideal choice for the Adidas campaign. Our ability to provide a seamless on-set experience made us the ideal fit for this ambitious project.

Behind the Scenes:
TriVision’s entire studio was used for the entirety of the 3-day production. Due to the large studio space needed for the high-speed still photography and placement of artificial turf and other soccer props, our Studio A was used. Our hard cyc Studio B was used for video, capturing multiple movements and action scenes. Our Studio C was used for additional motion capture scenes. All in all, TriVision’s entire 12,000 sq.ft. studio was used for the Adidas F50 production campaign with Trinity Rodman.
The production team worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of the shoot was flawless. Camera angles were carefully chosen to showcase Trinity’s agility and power, capturing her movements in a way that conveyed both the speed and grace of the sport. High-speed cameras were used to record every detail, allowing to slow down the action and highlight the cleats’ performance-enhancing features.

The atmosphere of the studio production were one of collaboration and creativity, making the shoot an enjoyable and productive experience for everyone involved. The Adidas team brought their vision and brand expertise, providing valuable input throughout the process. The crew, with their technical skills and creative insights, ensured that every shot met the highest standards of quality.
Trinity herself was a joy to work with, bringing her infectious energy and professionalism to the set. Her input and willingness to engage with the creative process added an authentic touch to the campaign, making it truly unique. Trinity who has been with the women’s national soccer team for only two years, will be crucial in helping the U.S. at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
