November 19th, 2023, Washington, DC – Tuti Gala, an enchanting evening filled with spectacular performances and presentations by some of Afghanistan and Tajikistan’s most celebrated artists, achieved resounding success. Presented by Tuti TV in collaboration with TriVision and its exceptional event production team, Tuti Gala aimed to celebrate the vibrant music, arts, and culture of Afghanistan and its surrounding region.
Held at the beautiful Capital One Hall in Tysons Corner, Virginia with an audience of nearly 2,000 people, the evening began with a star-studded red-carpet reception where VIP guests had an opportunity to mingle with the artists and take photos. Once the show began, it featured performances by over 30 vocalists and musicians who traveled from all over the world to the U.S., including Aryana Sayeed, Shabnam Surayo, Najim Nawabi, Ustad Mahwash, Valy, Ehsan Aman, Hangama, Sharafat Parwani, and Jonibek Murdov.
Aside from vocal performers, the gala featured a live ensemble of musicians playing different Afghan instruments, including a special duo performance with renowned tabla player and Broadway star, Salar Nader, and Grandmaster sitar player, Homayun Sakhi. This was the first time instrumentalists stepped into the spotlight at an Afghan event of this magnitude.
